1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your session and preferences. Similar technologies (local storage) may also be used for the same purposes.
2. How we use cookies
RAI Prep uses a minimal cookie setup focused on essential functionality. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics).
Essential cookies (always active)
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| NextAuth session cookie | Keeps you signed in securely | Session / up to 30 days |
| CSRF / security tokens | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
Preference storage
- Cookie consent choice — stored in your browser (localStorage) so we do not show the banner repeatedly.
- Practice session state — temporary client storage during exam practice (not shared with third parties).
3. Third-party cookies
If you sign in with Google, Google may set cookies as part of OAuth — see Google's Privacy Policy. Stripe may set cookies during checkout — see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. You can change your consent choice by clearing site data for https://raiprep.com — the cookie banner will appear again.
5. ePrivacy / GDPR
Essential cookies are necessary for the service you request and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first.
